Course Objective


To develop a strong fundamental knowledge of the basic design concepts of cartridge valves, how slip-in and screw-in cartridge valves perform their function, understanding circuit schematics and circuit design considerations.

Course Outline

  • Theory of operation
  • Slip-in (DIN) cartridge valves
  • Screw-in cartridge valves
  • Circuit design using pressure, flow and directional control functions
  • Selection and sizing of cartridges



Who Should Attend?

Individuals with an understanding of basic principles and the design of hydraulic circuits who desire more advanced training in basic design and troubleshooting of high performance logic circuits. Machine and system designers, maintenance supervisors and mechanics, plant and service engineers and others responsible for the operation, maintenance troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic cartridge valve systems. The course is two days in length.
