Course Objective
This course is the general follow-up to the Basic Industrial Hydraulics class and is intended to address advanced maintenance subjects and specific in-plant circuits, applications, and needs relative to troubleshooting. This is a course emphasizing logical methods of troubleshooting systems in order to avoid the hit-or-miss replacement of system components to solve the problem.

Course Outline

Review the basic of hydraulic principles and fundamentals relative to troubleshooting

  • Review of schematic symbols and circuits with emphasis on analyzing pressure and flow requirements during operation of typical systems
  • Safety concerns
  • Analysis of failed components leading to improved preventive maintenance techniques



Who Should Attend?

This two-day course is for those individuals who have attended the Basic Industrial Hydraulics class or who already have a strong background in basic hydraulics and desire additional training in advanced subjects. Students are encouraged to bring schematic circuit drawings for discussion.
